Here's what you'll need:

- 1 small piece of ginger root;
- 2 teaspoons of turmeric;
- 1 liter of water;
- 400 g garlic (peeled, and cut into slices);
- 400 g sugar (can be plain, but ideally brown sugar).

What to make:

Heat the water in a saucepan. When it boils, add the sugar, garlic, ginger and turmeric to it.
Add the sugar last.
Cook the mixture on low heat until half of the water has boiled off. Then remove the pot from the stove and pour the liquid into a jar. When it cools down, place it in the refrigerator.

Consistency is crucial.
Place the resulting drink in the refrigerator. You must be disciplined and consistent: you must take two tablespoons of this mixture on an empty stomach every morning. This will help your respiratory system to “get back on its feet”.
